These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services, website and online platform provided by Holistic Helps ("Holistic Helps", "we", "us" or "our"). By booking a consultation, creating an account, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Holistic Helps provides counselling, life coaching, and addiction recovery support to adults in South Africa, delivered in person and via secure online video sessions. Our practitioners hold recognised professional qualifications and practise within their respective scopes.
Our services are not appropriate for medical or psychiatric emergencies. If you are in crisis, experiencing thoughts of harming yourself or others, or facing a life-threatening situation, contact emergency services on 10177 (ambulance), the SADAG 24-hour helpline on 0800 567 567, or go to your nearest emergency department. Holistic Helps does not provide emergency or crisis-intervention services and cannot guarantee an immediate response.
You must be 18 years or older to use our services on your own behalf. Where services are provided to a minor, they must be arranged and consented to by a parent or legal guardian. You agree that all information you provide is accurate and current.
We offer a complimentary 30-minute introductory call to help you decide whether our services suit your needs. This call is informational, does not constitute treatment or a therapeutic relationship, and creates no obligation to continue.
Online sessions are delivered via third-party video conferencing (e.g. Zoom). You are responsible for a private space and a stable internet connection. We are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party platforms or your equipment, but we will make reasonable efforts to reconnect or reschedule affected sessions.
With your separate, explicit consent, sessions may be recorded and processed using automated tools to assist your practitioner in preparing clinical notes. You may withdraw this consent at any time. Recordings, transcripts and notes are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
What you share is treated as confidential. However, confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required or permitted by law — for example, where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person, suspected abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person, or where disclosure is ordered by a court. Your practitioner will, where appropriate, discuss any such disclosure with you.
Counselling, coaching and recovery support are collaborative processes. While our practitioners apply professional skill and care, we make no warranty or guarantee regarding specific results.
All content on our website and platform — including text, assessments, graphics and software — is owned by or licensed to Holistic Helps and may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without our written permission.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, Holistic Helps is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of our services or website. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
